Event Details
Mr. Kwame Jackson (www.kwamejackson.com) will be the keynote speaker at the Legacy Associates Foundation’s (L.A.F.) 8th Annual Scholarship Dinner on March 18th, 2006. Mr. Jackson is polished, confident and credentialed with prestigious Wall Street experience, a University of North Carolina Chapel Hill degree, a Harvard MBA, and business lessons he learned from Donald Trump in front of 22 million people each week, on the hit show “The Apprentice”. His professional experience includes sales and marketing roles at Procter and Gamble and, most recently, on Wall Street as an Investment Manager for Goldman Sachs. It was his no nonsense attitude and ability to be a team leader that made him stand out on "The Apprentice" and it is his affable nature and street smarts that make him stand out in life.

The event, which will once again be held at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African-American History (315 E. Warren) in Detroit, Michigan, will begin with a reception at 6:00 p.m. Ticket prices are $75 per person and can be attained via R.S.V.P. by mailing a check or money order made out to "Legacy Associates Foundation" to the following address:

Program Objective
The L.A.F. Annual Scholarship Dinner was created with the intent to allow constituents, friend and family of Legacy Associates Foundation to come together in support of our year-round efforts focused on the development of youth. Legacy members interact with and educate guests on the activities, programs, services, achievements and goals of the organization. This opportunity also allows us to provide special thanks and appreciation for the support that empowers the work of our membership, advisory board members and our community partners.

Program Goal
The goal of the Annual Scholarship Dinner is to raise the level of awareness to the programs and services our organization provides within the community for the benefit of youth. Additionally, we seek to raise the maximum amount of support dollars that will allow us to provide scholarships to high school seniors attending a 4-year, accredited institution of higher learning. Scholarships are awarded to deserving students during the summer months of each year. L.A.F. has a goal to raise $50,000 for college-bound students at this year's fundraising dinner.

Event Audience
Community members, family, friends, students, civic and community organizations, past scholarship recipients, representatives of mentor groups, business leaders, and more. Essentially, the event is open to all who desire to support the overall mission and goals of our organization.
